Saman Sangh Gaan

supatipanno saman sangho.

ujupatipanno saman sangho.

nayapatipanno saman sangho. samicipatipanno saman sangho.

 

Esa saman sangho,

ahuneyyo, pahuneyyo, dakkhineyyo, anjalikaraniyo,

anuttaram punnakkhettam lokassa'ti.

 

Sangham jivitapariyantam, saranam gacchami.

Ye ca Sangha atita ca,

Ye ca Sangha anagata. Paccuppanna ca ye Sangha, Aham vandami sabbada.

N'atthi me saranam annam,

Sangho me saranam varam.

Etena saccavajjena,

Bhavtu sabba mangalam.

Sangham Sangham Sangham Namami.

 

Pali translation in English:

Of pure conduct of LIBERTY is the saman sangh.

Of upright conduct of FRATERNITY is the saman Sangh.

Of wise conduct of JUSTICE is the saman sangh.

Of generous conduct of EQUALITY is the saman Sangh.

 

This is the saman Sangh.

They are worthy of offerings.

They are worthy of hospitality.

They worthy of gifts.

They are worthy of reverential salutations.

An incomparable field of merit for the world.

 

I am going to accept for rest of my life.

There be Saman Sangha in the PAST.

There be Saman Sangha will be FUTURE.

There be Saman Sangha in PRESENT.

I bow to this Samana Sangha.

I will not to go other than the Samana Sangha.

May this true declaration bring prosperity to all.

I bow to the Sangha, Sangha, Sangha.

 

'Saman' means a person who moves with the feelings of equality. He has always been on this earth and will always be there. From beginning to end, the power of Sangha is eternal.
